We collect information about you when you contact the Centre or undertake an assessment at the Centre, this includes a driving assessment or an assessment related to daily living equipment. The information we collect relates to your health & wellbeing circumstances and may also include special categories of personal data as required by our funders and the provision of our services.

We may also collect information when you voluntarily complete client surveys or provide feedback to us.
The primary legal basis for us collecting your data is because our funders require anonymised data to meet the terms of our contracts and to meet the requirements of our Royal College of Occupational Therapist Code of Conduct and Professional Standards. The information that we collect about you is essential for us to be able to carry out the services that you require from us effectively. Without collecting your personal data we would also be unable to fulfil our legal and regulatory obligations.
Where special category data is required we will obtain your explicit consent in order to collect and process this information.
In order to deliver our services to you effectively we may send your details to third parties such as those that we engage with for professional compliance, accountancy or legal services.
Where third parties are involved in processing your data we will ensure that the nature and purpose of the processing is clear, that they are subject to a duty of confidence in processing your data and that they will only act in accordance with our written instructions.
We will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies.
If you agree, we may email you about other products or services that we think may be of interest to you.
Where it is necessary for your personal data to be forwarded to a third party we will use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data in transit such as password protection and/or encryption of data.
In principle, any personal data should not be held for longer than is required under the terms of our contract for services with you. However, we are subject to regulatory requirements to retain data for specified minimum periods. We also reserve the right to retain data for longer than this due to the possibility that it may be required to defend a future claim against us. In any case, we will not retain your personal data for longer than 8 years past the time of your death.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We will comply with this request, subject to the restrictions of our regulatory obligations and legitimate interests as noted above.

The William Merritt Disabled Living Centre (refer to as “WMDLC” in this document) owns the WMDLC website. The content, data and services on the WMDLC website are delivered by WMDLC. Videos and interactive tools on the WMDLC website are not sub licensable under section 3.4, Before you embed this content in any other website you will need to obtain permission in writing from us, and where relevant also our licensors. 3.2.1. You must not alter, adapt, edit, incorporate, modify or translate the video or tool in any way.

11.1.3. take any other action against your registration if, in our view, you have not complied with the rules of conduct set out below.

12.2. Comments posted should relate to your personal experience or that of someone close to you. 14. Remedies
14.1. To the extent that we are practically able to do so, we may terminate your access to all or any part of www.wmdlc.org and services at any time without notice if you breach any of the terms.

14.3.
