Our open days are free to attend and no appointment necessary.
Who is an Open Day for?
• Disabled people of all ages
• Older people
• People with long-term conditions
• Parents/Carers
• Healthcare professionals
What can I expect at a William Merritt Centre Open Day?
• Opportunity to visit our Centre and find out how we help all the above with advice, information and assessments (majority of which are free)
• Speak to our team of Occupational Therapists – for mobility equipment and Driving Instructors for driving assessments and adaptations
• Try mobility equipment* and driving adaptations
• Speak to specialised driving instructors about driving lessons
Just pop along between 9am and 3pm
Tea/coffee will be available

*If a more in depth conversation is required we would recommend booking an assessment, this can be done on the day. We have a limited range of mobility available at the Centre. In order to try a tailored range of equipment, an assessment would need to be booked.

- Possum have a display of environmental controls, dementia and falls prevention and also epilepsy solutions and products.
- Terry Lifts will demonstrate through floor lifts and lifting solutions for the home.
- Schuchmann will be demonstrating range a supportive children’s seating, standing, walking and hygiene aids.
- Etac will be bringing sit to stand solutions and mobile hoisting solutions.
- Closomat providing advice and demonstrations of wash dry toilets.
- RossCare have a range of general mobility and assistive equipment as well as providing support with servicing and repair for your mobility items.
